CHARGE The Legislative Action Committee (LAC) shall seek solutions to the collective concerns of Apple Canyon Lake Property Owners, regarding issues that pertain to local services that are funded by property tax dollars, through the petition of those individuals and/or committees having the power to facilitate change. In preparation of this proposed statement we considered the following: 1. The LAC should focus on ACL property owners concerns rather than broadening its scope to include other Thompson Township property owners. 2. In order to narrow its scope at this juncture, the LAC should focus on those issues that relate to Local Services such as Roads, Schools, Fire-Ambulance services and others that are funded by property taxes. This might want to be broadened in the future. 3. The LAC should focus attention on issues that reflect a collective concern of ACL Property Owners. LAC Agenda items should reflect a consensus of opinion of the LAC members. 4. Collective issues that come to the attention of the LAC that are outside of its scope, as governed by its statement of purpose, should be recorded and communicated to appropriate individuals and/or committees. For instance in the one of issues that would be of value to the ACL Board of Directors, such would be communicated to the Board by the Boards’ Representative members and/or LAC Chairperson. |
