The Cove Bar and Grill

The area’s premier scenic dining experience is located at Apple Canyon Lake in the heart of Jo Daviess County and is open to the general public. The only restaurant in the area with a lake front location, The Cove Bar and Grill provides a unique dining experience which combines spectacular beauty and a delicious menu.

The Cove is a full-service restaurant serving sandwiches, salads, appetizers, pizza, and specialty dishes. The Cove is open for lunch and dinner during the summer season. In the off-season hours vary so check the hours below before coming out between Labor Day and Memorial Day.

The award-winning building provides the location for one of the most scenic dining experiences in the tri state region. Nestled along the limestone-scarped shores opposite Nixon Beach, diners can dine along the shoreline of beautiful Apple Canyon Lake.

Accommodations range from an intimate dinner for two up to large groups. The Cove Bar and Grill interior seating of 210 is complemented by seating for 45 diners on the outdoor deck along the shoreline.

The Cove is now closed for the season. We will reopen in April. See you soon!
